Birth

Larry and Lynn Marcus are happy to announce the arrival of their fourth grandchild. Bentley Wayne was born to Josiah and Karina Poirier on August 4 in Aberdeen, South Dakota. Bentley’s other grandparents are Richard and Julie Poirier of Rapid City, South Dakota. Great grandmothers are Gladys Ammermann and Geraldine Poirier.

Baby Shower

There will be an Open House Baby Shower for Bentley Poirier, son of Josiah and Karina (Marcus) Poirier on Saturday, September 18 from 10 a.m. to noon at the First CRC Fellowship Hall in Prinsburg.

Bethany Reformed Fall Benefit

Bethany Reformed Church in Clara City, will be having their annual Fall Benefit on Wednesday, September 8^th from 5:00 – 7:00 pm. They will be serving a turkey dinner along with brownies & ice cream. All proceeds will go to the Clara City Ambulance Squad, Clara City Fire Department and MACCRAY 2180 Foundation. COME & ENJOY an evening of FELLOWSHIP as a community.

Friesen Historical Society

Friesen Historical Society will be having a community pot-luck picnic on Saturday, September 11, from 4:00 p.m. to ??. The event is located at the Friesen Homestead. Sergeant and His Lady Speaking on Civil War & Native American History will be at 4:30 pm. The display will open at 4:00pm. There will be a retiring ceremony of old US flags at 7:00 pm.

Bring a dish to pass & your lawn chairs. Beverages will be furnished.

West Central Christian Singles upcoming event will be on , Sunday, September 19th. We will be going on a hayride in beaver Falls Park South of Redwood Falls. Let’s enjoy the beauty of Gods creation on a hayride together. We will be leaving from the Efree parking lot at 2:30 then Mel’s 7-71(Harry’s Corner) at 3:00, and arrive at the park at 4:00. Following the ride we will roast hotdogs which will be provided. Please bring a beverage and a dish to share.
